Lawrence Aney was born at Ft. Lawton in Seattle on Feb. 20, 1953. He passed away on Sept. 25, 2012 in Oceanside, Calif. as a result of wounds he had suffered when he was in the Marines.
Larry was a graduate of Monroe High School. Upon graduation, he joined the military, and served as a U.S. Marine for 24 years before retiring.
Larry is survived by his wife, Fatma; five children, Lillia, Emen, Mazda, Nabila and Hazen; six grandchildren; his mother, Betty Jean Pearce; brother, Gerald Aney; and sister, Lisa Wright.
Two brothers preceded him in death, David Funden and Steven Funden.
A memorial was held in California.
