Top-ranked Cedarcrest tops Turk soccer girls

Lady Turk sophomore midfielder Crystal Elie sprints the ball past Cedarcrest Senior Michelle Ditore in heavy first half action in the Turks’ loss to top-ranked Cedarcrest, 7 – 0, Tuesday. At the half break, Turk Coach TJ Nicholas told the team, “They have a lot of speed and we have to win in the midfield.” The Turk starting keeper, Julianne Tran, was still out with a bad knee, so sophomore Valorie Meischke manned the net for the Turks.
