On Friday October 12, it was Pink-Out: Breast Cancer Awareness Night the Sultan High School football game.
The cheerleaders waved pink pom-poms. Football players work pink shoelaces or wristbands. Those spectators who were lucky enough to be able to purchase one of the coveted pink t-shirts sporting the moniker “Fight Like a Girl” wore them to work on Friday and to the game later that evening. For the rest of the spectators unable to purchase the t-shirt that sold out long before game night, there were pink beads and a donation box to help in the fight against cancer.
The efforts of Sultan High students raised over $600 which was donated to the American Cancer Society.
