Turks triumph over Coupeville, head to 2A playoffs

Turk quarterback, junior Antonino Rivas directs traffic during his sweep to the end zone for the Turks’ first score of the evening in their dominant, rain-soaked win, 34 – 8, over Coupeville in the last regular season game on Friday. Rivas scored again on a 51-yard sprint.
The Turks rushed for 307 yards, and senior Jay Leverett and hard-nosed Cooper Beucherie joined in the scoring.
The Turks advance to a first round 2A playoff against Lynden next week.
