Providence breaks ground

Monroe Mayor Robert Zimmerman last Tuesday was joined by a number of other community members and construction executives to officially cut the turf upon which Providence Medical Building will go.

The new building, which is to be built on vacant land near Lowe’s, will be a $22 million, 42,000-square-foot medical center, scheduled for opening in fall of 2013.
