Sultan Marching Band ends season on a high note

Congratulations to the Sultan High School Marching Band and Band Director Jill Sumpter who placed first in Division 2A in the Auburn Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, November 10.

The band also placed second in the Division 2A “Field Show” category, beating many other bands that had defeated them in previous competitions.

Makayla McNaughton and Cisco Martinez received the award for Best Drum Major.

The Sultan High Color Guard received the award for Best Color Guard.

The composite “Sweepstakes Scores” received by Sultan High School’s Marching Band earned a third place finish overall – defeating several 4A and 3A bands, as well as their own 2A Division – with 33 bands participating.
