Lions sponsoring health screenings at Winterfest

The Northwest Lions Foundation is sponsoring  free health screenings at the Sultan Winterfest Festival on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 62-foot long, medically-equipped Lions Health Screening Unit travels throughout Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho to give free health screenings at schools, fairs, and other public events. Checking for glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure and sight and hearing loss is key to interventions in potentially life-threatening health problems.

Woody Woods, President of the Sultan Sky Valley Lions Club and his wife, Judy, Treasurer of the club began organizing this event last year. “During these hard economic times, it’s important to help people get any medical care they can that’s affordable, and thanks to the Northwest Lions Foundation, it’s free,” commented Judy Woods.

You can certainly see your expertise in the paintings you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. At all times follow your heart.
