Police standoff with armed man

Monroe police and the Snohomish County SWAT team have concluded a standoff with an armed man in a house at 160th Street and 179th Avenue with an arrest, at about 11:30. The man exited his house with his hands raised. He was apparently alone in the house.

There are reports of shots fired at that location earlier, and the standoff reportedly began at about 6 a.m.
