Pridgeon grapples with invitational champ

Monroe Bearcat Christian Pridgeon, left, grapples with Palo Verde, Nevada’s L. Strobeck in the championship round of the 120-pound class in Saturday’s Monroe Bearcat Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Monroe.

Pridgeon went on to finish second to the wrestler from Palo Verde. The team from Palo Verde, a suburb of Las Vegas, went on to win the tournament with 163.5 points.

The Monroe Bearcats finished with 62 points overall.
