Wrestlers remain undefeated in Sultan

Senior Turk James Boglivi, 170 pounds, presses Granite Falls’ Michael Poyner to a pin in the fiercely-contested match leading to the Turks victory, 48 – 27, keeping the unbeaten string intact on the Granite Falls home mat. Highlights included a marathon five-minute-and-two second match at the 285-pound class with the Turks’ Taylor Comfort scoring a pin for the win.

The Turks won handily, despite not having several wrestlers, including speed king Jake Naslund. “He went home with the flu today, but he will be ready for the Regionals,” Coach MacDicken said.
