LaVerne Marie Byron
LaVerne Marie Byron, 87, a resident of Monroe, passed away Jan. 29, 2013. She was born in Monroe on June 1, 1925.
LaVerne was an avid recipe collector and enjoyed talking on the phone with her many “phone-a-friends.”
LaVerne is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Byron, Jr., and son, Howard Byron. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Don) Edwards; son, Lyle Byron; and daughter Vicki (Dennis)Johannsen. LaVerne is also survived by her grandchildren, Matt Niclai, Ryan Niclai, Stacy Olsen and Katie Johannsen, and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held at Purdy and Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, followed by a brief reception and burial at G.A.R. Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of this sad time. mike &I will be thinking of her and remembering what a good neighbor of years past will allways be remembered as a kind & loving person. We will miss her.
