Two weeks ago, we put out a call on Facebook for pictures of furred or feathered friends, hoping to get a handful to put on our first-ever pet page, which we are adding to our Lifestyle page lineup. We ended up getting about two dozen pictures, from which we chose five.
Here are some of the creature companions of people of the Sky Valley:

Daisy is one of four beloved pets belonging to Heather DeGraw of Monroe. One of them, Nick, died of cancer last year. Another, Vittles, was adopted from pet rescue Pasado’s Safe Haven.

Collette Reams’ dog Edgar, hit a home run with this outfit, which won him second place in a Seattle Times contest called “Dogs Named Edgar,” held in honor of the retirement of slugger Edgar Martinez.
