Lady Turks triumph in two opening games

 

Lady Turk closer #22 Shelby Jeffries came into the 8-6 Turks’ win over South Whidbey in the fifth inning, striking out all nine batters she faced to notch the win. Trailing into the sixth, the Turks’ offense came to life with Rachel Kirkpatrick blasting a South Whidbey pitch over the fence with two runners on base. The Turks stand 1 – 0 in conference and 2 – 0 overall in the season.
