Skateboarding can be a great workout option for adolescents who may find the more traditional modes of exercise to be a bit boring. The Monroe-based organization NW Grind is promoting the activity by producing many local skateboarding events.
“This year our focus is to reach more communities, and youth, with a series of local skate competitions and events designed to empower youths to get off the bench and become healthy, motivated, active members of their community,” said AJ Williams, NW Grind owner.
NW Grind will be at the Sultan Skate Park on May 18 and at the Monroe Board and Blade Park on June 16. For more information on the competitions please visit their website at: www.nwgrind.com.
