Dancers and diners are invited to kick up their heels and welcome in spring at the East County Senior Center Saturday, April 27. The ECSC will host the annual Swing in to Spring Dinner and Dance with live music provided by the Moonlight Swing Orchestra.
Dinner fare for the event is going to be orange chicken and rice, served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dancing will commence after dinner until 8 p.m. Contact ECSC for advance tickets for $7, or pay $9 at the door on the evening of the event.
Monroe High School was enlisted to entertain at the senior center with a performance of Happy Days (a new musical) that will liven up ECSC spaghetti dinner May 2. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m., then the students will present their musical.
Transportation is limited so check with ECSC as soon as you can. This event costs just $10 per person and includes the dinner and the show.
This Tuesday night, people are invited to the center to learn about massage as part of the Boomerang series.
On May 14 the center will host lessons in Legacy Writing.
All Boomerang events are held on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The cost is free for ECSC members and $3 for nonmembers.
