Last Saturday I was parked for less than 5 seconds (!) when the Les Schwab personnel ran to my car to help me. This is fast even for them, so I asked why, and they said many personnel were taking time off that day to attend the funeral of a co-worker so they were trying to stay ahead of the crowd.
But what I learned at the front desk was even more impressive.
So that Monroe employees could take time off to honor their co-worker, Les Schwab staffers from other offices had volunteered to work here. Additional Les Schwab service personnel came from Port Angeles, Burien, Ferndale, Sedro Woolley, Smokey Point, and many other offices. No one made a big deal out of this, and I doubt I’d have known except I asked.
Kudos to management at Les Schwab for fostering this sort of culture and camaraderie, and congratulations to the Les Schwab employees who embrace and exemplify the true meaning of “team”.
