By all accounts the 30th Annual Shindig Celebration was a big success. It’s very typical that the only input received after an event are from the few people with something negative to share. I’m happy to report that I’m getting phone calls, emails and even a hand written letter from someone who was visiting our community as a vendor, all very positive comments (mostly from people I don’t know)! The hand written letter states that “There’s a magic about this show that makes it draw great customers for my product—hand routed signs.”
Our amazing group of volunteers put on a fantastic car show, parade, street fair, logging contest and entertainment. I swear that August and crew had every young child in the area marching in their super hero outfits to the theme song of Ninja Turtles. The new display of electric vehicles, logging trucks and antique fire trucks/tractors was well received and very interesting.
The partnership with the City of Sultan, Fire District 5, Sultan Sportsmen’s Club (CH & LeRoy), and local business sponsors make all this possible with the best group of volunteers on the planet. The Sky Valley really is where the ‘magic’ is!
