The new Providence Medical Building Monroe on North Kelsey Street will open Wednesday, Oct. 7. The new medical building is nearly twice the size of the current Monroe clinic and will accommodate over 60,000 patient visits a year.
This new building will offer Sky Valley residents access to a larger Urgent Care Center with expanded hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Its opening will also bring to Monroe an advanced imaging center, while continuing pharmacy services and a full-service lab.
We’re happy to be here
“Providence has a long history of serving patients in Sky Valley. As the population—and the need for medical services—has increased in this community, Providence has added primary care providers, as well as various medical specialty providers, making it possible for more residents to receive their care close to home,” said Deb Nalty, MD, Medical Director for Providence Medical Group Monroe.
“And now, with the opening of this new $22 million, multi-specialty medical building we are even better equipped to provide an exceptional healthcare experience for patients,” Dr. Nalty said.
About the building
Providence Medical Building Monroe has a warm and inviting atmosphere and offers a comforting place to receive care. Thoughtful amenities such as a convenient patient drop off, expansive patio entrance and coffee bistro provide a welcoming touch. In addition, the color scheme and artwork have all been chosen with a healing and calming theme in mind.
But the new building is not just about the soft touch of patient amenities. The new facility is also home to high-powered imaging equipment including MRI, ultrasound, mammography, X-ray and CT, and non-invasive diagnostic testing such as echocardiography and echo stress testing.
“The imaging center is part of the expansion of services we’re offering our community. We will have several specialists rotating in for clinic appointments here,” said Dr. Nalty. “So for example, if you are having an issue with your heart, one of our cardiologists will be able to see you on site and have further testing done in our imaging center if needed—all under one roof with quick access to results,” explained Dr. Nalty.
The 43,000-square-foot building has space for more than 30 medical providers. It will include family practice, internal medicine and pediatric providers, plus a wide range of specialty care providers, including:
Built with Patients in Mind
New technology, called Versus, uses a computerized tag for patients to wear upon entrance, providing efficient patient flow at every stage of the patient’s visit. With Versus, patients get immediate room access without waiting in a lobby. It also gives caregivers the ability to locate patients, staff, and vital equipment; saving time and improving the patient experience. Caregivers receive automatic notification of room status, order status, and which patients are ready to be seen. Patients benefit by reduced wait times.
“Really, the technology and design of this building have been centered on one thing—how we can make it the best it can be for our patients,” Dr. Nalty said. “I believe we’ve accomplished that, and we are excited to invite our community to our open house on Sept. 28 to see for themselves.”
Sky Valley residents are invited to celebrate the opening of the new Providence Medical Building Monroe on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Providence Medical Building Monroe is located at 19200 N. Kelsey St.
Be among the first to tour the new facility and stay for a free community barbecue with games, bouncy houses, giveaways, and other fun activities for the entire family. Make sure to arrive early—the first 500 families receive a fleece blanket.
