A woman poised on the edge of a bridge with a BB gun in hand was taken into custody in Gold Bar last week.
She was prevented from jumping off by a Good Samaritan who held the woman in a bear hug until police could arrive.
It was the second time in a week the woman had been stopped from committing suicidal acts. On Sunday, Sept. 8, she was found lying on U.S. 2 and fought with the police, who took her to Valley General Hospital, where she was placed on a temporary involuntary hold.
When police retrieved her from the bridge, she was once again returned to the hospital.
