The Sultan Food Bank is looking for a volunteer to driver their truck to local grocery stores to pick up food.
Due to the recent budget cuts, the Sultan Food Bank can no longer afford to pay a driver to pick up food from local grocery stores. Until they find volunteers to replace these shifts, the food bank truck is grounded for a majority of the grocery store pickups. This has significant impact on receipt of fresh produce, dairy and frozen meat for the 400+ families they serve each month. These are all morning shifts, usually between 9 a.m.- noon. The vehicle is provided.
If you can give up a couple of hours a week to help the food bank keep the food coming in, call Jennifer at (360) 793-2400 x 14005.
