Sunday, Dec. 29, Monroe police officers were dispatched to the report of a possible burglary in progress in the 14000 block of Chain Lake Road.
A resident had come home to find a vehicle he did not recognize in his driveway and said there should not be anyone in his house.
The first officers arriving approached the residence and saw three people inside with flashlights. As the officers waited for additional officers to arrive, the three suspects ran from the back of the residence, jumped a fence and continued running into a new residential area.
The three suspects were found hiding in some blackberry bushes. All three were taken into custody without incident.
A 44 year-old male from Index, a 24 year-old female from Monroe and a 35 year-old female from Granite Falls were transported to the Snohomish County Jail for booking on a Residential Burglary charge. The vehicle was impounded to the Monroe Police Department as evidence pending a search warrant.
