The Sultan School District is in the process of establishing a list of teachers, substitutes and/or retired teachers who would like to tutor students who may need additional academic help over the summer.
The parent and tutor will need to arrange for a location for the tutoring. The location must be a public place such as the library or public areas within schools when they are open to the general public. Hourly fees may vary slightly according to the collective bargaining agreement. Parents will need to make financial arrangements with the teacher when coordinating tutoring.
Parents who are interested may contact the district office at (360) 793-9800 to add their child(ren) to the tutoring list. The list is expected is completed at the end of May, and the district will then mail the list of tutors to interested parents. The list will specify the grade level and subject that the teacher currently teaches.
