The city of Gold Bar is currently seeking an individual to fill a vacancy on the Gold Bar City Council.
Former Councilmember Kenneth Ware announced his resignation in May, stating that he was moving to California to take a new job. He attended his final council meeting on June 17.
In a recent press release, Gold Bar Mayor Linda Loen stated that Ware will be greatly missed and that the city wishes him success in the future.
Ware, who sat on Position 5 of the council, was elected in 2011. His successor will serve out the remainder of his term which will end in 2016.
In order to be eligible for the position, candidates must be registered to vote in Snohomish County and have lived in Gold Bar for at least one year prior to applying for the position.
Candidates interested in filling the position should submit a letter of interest to: Gold Bar City Hall, 107 5th St., Gold Bar, 98251.
The four remaining Gold Bar city councilmembers will be responsible for appointing the new councilmember.
