Quilters Anonymous will have more than 500 quilts on display during its annual show at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds Event Center in Monroe next weekend.

QA members have made thousands more quilts, Christmas stockings and other items for those in need over the years, including for premature infants, hospice patients and military families, according to the organization.

Guild members have made more than 17,400 quilts since 1986 for the Preemie Project, which small quilts, burp cloths and isolet covers to patients at Evergreen Hospital, the University of Washington Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center and Auburn Medical Center, including more than 1,300 in 2017.

The Great American Cover Up takes place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 16-17, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the event center, 14405 179th Ave. SE. Admission is $8 and good for all three days, and bus groups pay $5 per person.
