Kurt Peterson, 60, of St. Maries, Idaho, passed away on April 12, 2017.  Kurt was born on May 14, 1956 in Monroe, Washington to Betty and Bob Peterson.  Kurt lived in the Monroe area for most of his life, graduating from Monroe High School in 1974.  He worked as a welder for many years and belonged to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 104.

Kurt enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting and fishing with his brother Ken and nephews Kenny and Rob.  He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  Thank you to his good friends Eldon and John who made many trips to Idaho to spend time with Kurt and made some great memories.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Bob Peterson and his sister Marsha Peterson.  He is survived by his brother Ken (Paula) Peterson of St. Maries, Idaho, his nephews Ken (Rachel) Peterson of Deary, Idaho and Rob (Michelle) Peterson of Monroe, Washington; along with many cherished cousins. Kurt did not have any children or grandchildren of his own but treated his nieces and nephews as such.  He leaves behind Alonna, Jessica, Stewart, Lacee, Waylon, Boone and Jack. 

A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2pm at the Fern Bluff Grange, 32401 Cascade View Dr. Sultan, WA.
