NOTICE is hereby given that, on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, in City Hall Council Chamber at 806 West Main Street, Monroe, WA.

The purpose of the meeting is:

Possible discussion and authorization for Mayor to sign:

Agreement between Washington State Department of Corrections and City of Monroe Regarding Sewer; and the Addendum to Annexation Agreement

Update on the 2009 and 2010 Budgets

The meeting is open to the public.

NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held for the HHD/Harris/First Heritage Bank Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA200901) on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 7:00p.m. by the City of Monroe Planning Commission in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 806 West Main Street, Monroe, Washington.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

CPA 200901 HHD/Harris/First Heritage Bank Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment is a citizen initiated request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map, changing the land use designation for Snohomish County Tax Parcels 28073100301700, 28073100301600 and 28073100300600 from Residential Two to Five Dwelling Units per Acre (R2-5 DU/A) to Residential Eight to Eleven Dwelling Units per Acre (R8–11 DU/A).

The three combined parcels contain approximately 5.5 acres and are located on the east side of the 14500 block of Chain Lake Road, adjacent to Mountain Ridge Road, approximately one quarter mile north of the intersection of Chain lake Road and North Kelsey Street, in Monroe, Washington.

Any interested person(s) may provide public testimony regarding the proposed comprehensive plan amendment. Written comments must be received in original form prior to the public hearing. For additional information regarding this comprehensive plan map amendment, please contact Community Development Director Hiller West at (360) 863-4531 or email hwest@ci.monroe.wa.us. The above documents are available for review at City Hall.

The Planning Commission may take action at this hearing or may continue action on this application until a future date.
