NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that an application for a Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment has been received by the City of Monroe. A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Monday, OCTOBER 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. by the City of Monroe's Planning Commission in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 806 West Main Street, Monroe, Washington.

Project Description: This is a request for consideration of a proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map changing the land use designation from Residential 3 to 5 Dwelling Units per Acre (R3-5 DU/A) to Residential 8 to 11 Dwelling Units per Acre (R8 - 11 DU/A) approximately 5.5 acres.
Permits/Processes: Comprehensive plan amendments are completed in a two-phased process: docketing and a final decision. Docketing is the process of approving applications for review during the annual comprehensive plan review cycle. If an application is approved for docket, it will be reviewed the following year with final action occurring before December 30th.
Public Comment: Any interested person(s) may appear and voice approval or disapproval of the requested Comprehensive Plan Amendment. Written comments must be received in original form prior to the public hearing. The Planning Commission may take action at this hearing or may continue action on this application until a future date.
