SURPLUS SALE
The City of Monroe is having a surplus sale on March 11, 2008 at City Hall, 806 W. Main Street, Monroe, WA. The sale will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Items include miscellaneous computer systems, Merlin phones and System Boards.
Minimum prices will be indicated on all items. Inquires for information may be directed to Denise Bremner, Information Systems Manager, (360) 863-4530
The surplus equipment being sold by the City of Monroe is used and is being sold “as is-where-is”. The City of Monroe makes no representations or warranties as to the safety of the equipment, its fitness for any particular purpose, or that it has not been altered or modified from its original manufacturer's design. The City of Monroe does not certify that the equipment being sold is safe for any particular use and all purchasers will assume full responsibility for any uses they may put the equipment to in the future.

NOTICE is hereby given that a DECISION has been issued for a Short Plat (SP200707) to create 2 lots within the City of Monroe.

Approval: Staff administratively reviewed the project for compliance with the policies, standards, and regulations of the City of Monroe. The short subdivision is APPROVED based on the Findings of Fact and Conclusions and shall be subject to Conditions of Approval.
The decision dated February 19, 2008 is considered issued on FEBRUARY 19, 2008 (the day the decision was mailed to all parties of record).
NOTICE OF RIGHT OF APPEAL: Parties of Record may file an appeal of this decision within fifteen (15) working days from issuance of this Notice of Decision in conformance with MMC 17.32.070. Appeals must be submitted to the City of Monroe by MARCH 11, 2008. Appeals shall be in writing and accompanied by an appeal fee as outlined in the city's most current fee resolution.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PUBLIC HEARING is hereby given for CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CU200801. The public hearing is scheduled with the City of Monroe Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 806 West Main Street, Monroe, Washington on MARCH 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
Name of Applicant: David Fairfax; Date of Application: January 15, 2008; Date of letter of completeness: February 11, 2008 ; Project Location: 210 WEST Hill Street, Monroe, Washington.
Project description: The proponent is requesting to operate a dental lab in an existing building at 210 West Hill Street, Monroe, Washington. Monroe Municipal Code 18.10.050 requires a conditional use permit for health services in the Downtown Commercial (DC) zone. MMC 18.96 requires a public hearing for conditional use permits. The request will also require a change of use permit and city business license. The property has existing handicap parking, ramp, and door with on-street parking; no changes to the building are proposed. The business hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 1-3 employees.
Permits required: Conditional Use Permit, Change of Use Permit and Business License.
Public Comment Period: Any interested person(s) may appear and voice approval/disapproval of the requested application. Written comments must be received in original form prior to the public hearing at Monroe City Hall.
