Fair season promises to the best one yet
Fair season got underway Saturday with Monroe’s Fair Days Parade, in which about 100 floats, bands, pirate ships, lawn mower troops and other spectacles passed by the judge’s booth on Main Street. The fair itself, which opened Thursday, has been well attended due to unusually good weather. Above: Crowds flock to the pig races at the fair. Races are held every day at 2, 4, and 6 p.m. More |
