Explosion Donates to Sky Valley Food Bank

General Manager Brad Sturlaugson presented a check to the Sky Valley Food Bank last week.  The donation was based on a percentage of ticket sales in the months of November and December.  “We are happy to give back to the community,” stated Sturlaugson, “The food bank is an important piece of the Sky Valley region.”

As the number of needy families in our community continues to grow, the demand on our food bank grows as well.  Each month, enough food for approximately 30,000 meals is distributed to our neighbors in need – seniors and families who require our assistance to provide for their families.  The Sky Valley Food Bank needs to be stocked and ready to meet this challenge.

The Explosion continues to foster its relationship with the food bank into the season.  “We are planning a Sky Valley Food Bank night for later in the season,” Director of Ticketing Zack Mennie said.  Date and details of the night are still being worked out.
