Explosion Erupts on Volcanos

The Snohomish County Explosion extend their win streak to three games as they beat the Vancouver Volcanoes in front of 896 fans at the Monroe Sports Arena, with a final score of 129-115.

Jamal Miller led a balanced attack with 22 points as seven Explosion players scored in double figures. Justin James chipped in with 20 points on 10 of 15 field goal attempts.
 
Chris Weakley led the charge from the perimeter connecting on 4 of 6 three point attempts. The Explosion shot 68 percent form the three point line in the first half. 

After an even first quarter, the Explosion pulled out to a 17 point halftime lead and cruised from there. Porter Troupe led five Volcanoes in double digits with 31 points.  Alex Hartman added 26.Explosion blows up All-Stars in Season
Explosion Guard, 6'2", 180 pound Milton Wright soars for 2 during Saturday nights win over the Volcanoes. The hometown Explosion meet the hard charging Bellingham next on Saturday March 22 at 7:15 on the McGough Court in the Monroe Sports Arena before traveling to Vancouver for one game, then returning to Monroe.

Explosion releases Corby Schuh, adds Gonzalez
 
General Manager Brad Sturlaugson announced today that Corby Schuh has been given his release from the team to spend more time with his family. “Corby has been a key contributor to the success of the Explosion for the last year. The team has a big void to fill in replacing him”.

Sturlaugson announced that 6’7” power forward Tywan Gonzales will be added to the roster to replace Schuh. Tywan played at Federal Way High School, and went on to play at Savannah State University where he was the leading rebounder and team captain for two years.
