Explosion to review game tape

Saturday's Explosion loss involved questionable officiating, team said
General Manager Brad Sturlaugson of the Snohomish County Explosion basketball team announced Monday that the IBL League Commissioner will be reviewing the game film of last Saturday's game with the Bellingham Slam.

“I will be sending Commissioner Mikal Duilio the game film and he will be reviewing it for discrepancies involving one referee in particular with calls made during the game," said Sturlaugson.

Explosion guard Jamaal Miller was ejected from the game over one of several calls that the team has called questionable. The Bellignham Slam, beat the previously undefeated Explosion 115-108.

"It is the intent of this league to maintain a standard of officiating that calls games as fairly and accurately as humanly possible," Duilio said. "I will review the tape to determine what action might need to be taken. The IBL will not allow any official to become the focal point of a game, and when that happens, corrective measures will be taken."
The Explosion have two games this week, Friday at Vancouver, and Saturday at home against Tacoma.
